Key Characteristics of Ferns

- Non-flowering plants
- A frond is the leaf of the fern
- Fronds attached to a rhizome(specialized, root-like stem) by a stalk(aka stipe)
- Can grow till ≥ 18m in height and have leaves ≥ 5m long
- Reproduce by spores
- Usually found in trees
